Chema Block
Chema Block is an advanced lightweight void-forming solution designed for ribbed slab systems and wide-span concrete structures. Manufactured from expanded polystyrene foam (EPS) and coated with a durable lightweight polymeric concrete layer, Chema Block significantly reduces the overall weight of slabs while enhancing structural efficiency. This system offers major savings in concrete and steel consumption, improves construction speed, and provides exceptional thermal and acoustic benefits. Ideal for bridges, tunnels, ceilings, and high-load interior slabs, Chema Block ensures a stronger, lighter, and more economical structural design.

Installation Method
• Spans 5–7 m
One-way Chema Blocks placed in continuous rows.
Ribs spacing: 40–60 cm.
Rib width: 10–12 cm.
• Spans 8–12 m
Two-way Chema Blocks placed with ribs in both directions.
Ribs spacing: 60–100 cm.
Rib width: 12–15 cm.
Notes
• Electrical conduits should pass between ribs.
• Rebar must be lifted above blocks using rebar spacers.
• Slab and finishing layers should be water-cured for at least 7 days to enhance concrete strength.
